HB 68 Amends Health Care Facilities Act - requiring the DOH to inspect long-term care nursing facilities on an unannounced basis. DOH shall also ensure a minimum of one annual unannounced visitation which does not occur near the time of the facilities annual license renewal. HB 264 Provides for recruitment and retention of nurses; establishes the Pennsylvania Center for Nursing; and makes an appropriation. HB 420 Provides for licensure and regulation of adult living residences; conferring powers and duties on DPW; adding members to the Intra-Governmental Council on LTC; providing for an increases to state SSI for personal care home residents. HB 421 Requiring public notices on certain matters affecting nursing facilities; providing for compliance and enforcement; requires nursing facilities to submit annual information to DOH; requiring DOH to put certain information on the internet. HB 489 Amends Health Care Facilities Act - compliance with staffing plans and record keeping, work assignment policies and public disclosures of staffing requirements; providing for license standards, reliance on accrediting agencies; providing for grants and loan programs for nurse recruitment. HB 620 Established the long-term care death and abuse resource team and establishes a fund. HB 621 Provides for challenge to criminal history records and for challenge of their accuracy.
